Election Commission of India (ECI) has approved a scheme for civil secretariat and employees affiliated to other Durbar move offices in Jammu and Kashmir to cast their votes through postal ballots.
Sources said that the employees who have moved to winter capital of the state in connection with their official duties can now cast their vote using postal ballot.
They said that the facility is aimed at facilitating the Darbar Move employees and the scheme has been approved by the ECI.
Assembly election of Jammu and Kashmir comprising of five phases is scheduled to start on November 25.
