Dy CM Reaffirms Balanced Development Push for Jammu, Srinagar Cities

   

SRINAGAR: Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Choudhary on Friday reiterated the government’s commitment to ensuring balanced and equitable development of both Jammu and Srinagar cities.

He made the remarks while interacting with various public and individual delegations at the Civil Secretariat in Jammu.

A delegation led by former MLC Rattan Lal Gupta, along with Tejinder Pal Singh (Aman), met the Deputy Chief Minister and raised several issues and demands related to the development of Jammu city.

After giving a patient hearing, the Deputy Chief Minister said the government is focused on holistic and inclusive development across all regions, with special emphasis on major urban centres including Jammu and Srinagar.

He said a series of initiatives are underway, ranging from city beautification to the upgradation and creation of essential infrastructure such as roads and civic amenities, aimed at improving the quality of life for residents.

Choudhary directed the concerned departments to ensure prompt and effective redressal of issues affecting daily life in the Jammu region.

During the interaction, several other delegations and individuals also raised concerns related to road and bridge construction, employment, industrial development, water supply, electricity, and other public welfare matters.

The Deputy Chief Minister assured that all genuine issues would be taken up with the concerned departments for timely and appropriate resolution.
