Deputy Speaker, Assembly Nazir Ahmad Gurezi Monday directed the of Academy of Art, Culture and Languages for taking appropriate steps for promotion and preservation of Sheena language, which he said is not only spoken in Gurez but also at Drass and Kargil areas.
The direction was given by the Deputy Speaker on an issue raised by Ravinder Raina during discussion on Demands of Grants of Education, Youth Services and Sports and Technical Education, an official spokesperson said this evening.
In another direction, the Deputy Speaker today directed concerned authorities for establishment of Research Institute at Kashmir University which was sanctioned for Scheduled Tribes in 2012-13.
