Two senior Police Officials including three other were injured in fierce clashes between protesters and forces in Padshahi Bagh of City. Deputy Superintendent of Police and Station House Officer(SHO) were later on shifted to SMHS.
Police spokesman confirmed the injuries of five personnel and added that the situation is under control.
Meanwhile in Reck Chowk Batmaloo area, protesters engaged police in stone pelting, the clashes are going on, till last reports came in.
According to eye witnesses from Shopian Gagran, the intense clashes were reported from the area. During the clashes, protesters caught hold of a police personnel and thrashed him resulting in severe injuries. He was set free after police dispersed the mob using tear gas shells
While talking to Kashmir Life, locals alleged that the Police fired innumerable tear gas shells, causing problems severe problem for the people even in their homes.
