Reports from EDI Pampore suggest that forces have intensified the operation against the holed up militants in the building after a few hourly hiatus.

It is third day of operation today and reports suggest that only one-side firing from forces side is taking place at the moment.

“There is no retaliation from the militants’ side,” a newsman told Kashmir Life from the spot.

To “flush out” militants, the forces on Sunday set the top floor of the main building afire, but the confrontation continued.

Already three army men, two CRPF personnel and a civilian have lost their lives in the ongoing operation that started on Saturday afternoon.
