Educational Institution Opens First Time In Kishtwar After August 9 Violence

After continuous spate of earthquake followed by August 9 violence in Kishtwar District, all the private and government institutions finally open in the District after nearly one month. Even though the normalcy return in the District last week followed by peace march led by Medical Education Minister Taj Mohi ud din, but the administration prefer to close the educational institution amid escalating tension.

According to sources even though the schools open today, but the attendance in many government school was very low since the majority of the students studying in government schools comprises of poor families and particularly of those who had shifted to Kishtwar in search of work.

The school administration expected full attendance in schools from Monday onwards as many people hailing from rural villages of the Kishtwar District has left the town in wake of continuous curfew in the town. However security forces continue to remain deployed at many sensitive places in and around Kishtwar town.
