SRINAGAR: Chief Secretary, Dr Arun Kumar Mehta on Monday said that efforts are going on to ensure that Srinagar looks better than ever before.

The Chief Secretary took stock of the works going on in Srinagar ahead of the G-20 event, slated to be held between May 22-May24.

Accompanied by several top officials including Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir, V K Bidhuri, CEO of Srinagar Smart City Limited (SSCL), Athar Aamir Khan, and others, the Chief Secretary took a review of the works going on in the vicinity of the commercial Hub Lal Chowk.

He visited the Jhelum embankment here to take a review of the works.

“Today’s visit was aimed to take stock of the ongoing works in Srinagar,” Chief Secretary said

“The works were scheduled to be completed in 2024, but now are being completed at a pace to ensure that Srinagar should look better than ever before,” he said.
