Eight Labourers Injured in Srinagar Road Accident

   

SRINAGAR: Eight labourers were injured after the Tata Mobile they were travelling in collided with an electric pole at Pirbagh area on the outskirts of Srinagar, with three of the injured reported to be in critical condition.

Reports said the vehicle’s driver lost control before colliding with the electric pole. The injured were subsequently brought to SMHS Hospital Srinagar for treatment.

The injured have been identified as Zahoor Ahmad, 27, son of Nazir Ahmed, a resident of Kupwara, who was driving the vehicle and is reported to be in critical condition; Nair Ahmad Kumar, 19, son of Wali Mohammad, resident of Kupwara, whose condition is stated to be stable; and Ajaz Ahmad Sheikh, 26, son of Buland Sheikh, resident of Lolab, Kupwara, who is also reported to be stable.

The other injured have been identified as Ishfaq Ahmad Bhat, 16, son of Mohammad Yousuf, resident of Beerwah, Budgam, whose condition is reported to be critical; Tanveer Ahmad Khan, 19, son of Ghulam Hussain Rubani, resident of Kupwara, also reported to be critical; Shahmeem Ahmad Khan, 25, son of Dilawar Ahmad, resident of Kupwara, whose condition is stated to be stable; Mohammad Qasim Sheikh, 27, son of Noor Din Sheikh, resident of Lolab, Kupwara; and Kaisar Ahmed Teli, 19, son of Ghulam Mohammad, resident of Kupwara, whose condition is reported to be stable.
