Chief Minister Omar Abdullah Monday said that his government is employee-friendly which is eager to address their problems at an earnest.

Omar was talking to a deputation of Employees Joint Action Committee (EJAC) led by its President, Ajaz Ahmad Khan who discussed various matters relating to the welfare of employees with him and sought his intervention in getting the issues redressed as early as possible.

During the meeting EJAC president appealed Omar to regularize all the daily-wagers working in PHE, CAPD and other departments. He also appealed CM to have a compassionate look on the demands of National Youth Corpus (NYC) volunteers.

“My government has been always employee-friendly and would continue to exercise this gesture towards them in future,” Omar told deputation. “All the genuine demands of the employees are being given due consideration and maximum of these have been accommodated while the rest are under examination and consideration.”

Khan said that Omar came round to his views when he made it clear that employees are apolitical and have nothing to do with any particular political party. “Omar Abdullah assured us that his government will address all the problems of the employees in near future,” he said.

EJAC deputation met Rural Development Minister Ali Mohammad Sagar as well.
