SRINAGAR: A 72-year-old non-local man from Maharashtra was found lying unconscious inside a mosque in Soibugh area of central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Thursday.
Locals noticed the elderly man in distress and immediately shifted him to a nearby hospital. However, doctors declared him brought dead on arrival.
Police sources said the deceased was identified as a resident of Maharashtra who had recently come to Kashmir. His body has been taken for medico-legal formalities.
Officials confirmed that necessary proceedings under law have been initiated to ascertain the cause of death. [KNT]
