SRINAGAR: A sixty-five-year-old man died after being hit by a vehicle in the Nipora area of Qazigund in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Monday, officials said.
An official said that the accident took place on the Jammu Srinagar National Highway when the man was struck by a passing vehicle. He sustained critical injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital, where he later succumbed.
The deceased has been identified as Abdul Ahad Khanday, son of Abdul Khaliq Khanday, of Nipora, Qazigund. Police have taken cognisance of the case. (KNO)
