SRINAGAR: The Unified Payments Interface (UPI) recorded a 32 per cent year-on-year growth in transaction count in November, surpassing 19 billion transactions, according to data released by the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI). Annual growth in transaction value stood at 22 per cent for the month.
UPI’s average daily transaction amount in November reached Rs 87,721 crore, while average daily transaction counts rose to 682 million, up from 668 million in October.
In comparison, October saw UPI achieve 25 per cent year-on-year growth in transaction count, totaling 20.70 billion, alongside 16 per cent annual growth in transaction value, which stood at Rs 27.28 lakh crore.
UPI continues to dominate India’s digital payments landscape, with transactions surging 35 per cent year-on-year to reach 106.36 billion in the first half of 2025.
