People’s Democratic Party founding member Tariq Hameed Karra cast his vote at Magarmal Bagh Srinagar for the seat which fell vacant after he resigned in summer 2016.

Interestingly Karra this time voted for NC veteran Dr Farooq Abdullah, his rival in last election whom he defeated with a margin of 42280 votes.
Citing reason of “brutalities committed by PDP and their alliance with BJP,” Karra who was disgruntled since the North Pole-South Pole came together resigned from both PDP and Lok Sabha and later joined Congress.
