SRINAGAR: A Power Development Department employee died after suffering an electric shock while on duty at Receiving Station Kanipora Balpora in south Kashmir’s Shopian district on Monday.
Officials said that the employee, identified as Altaf Ahmad, of Berthipora Shopian, came in contact with a live wire and died on the spot.
The incident occurred at the receiving station when he was performing his duties, they said.
