SRINAGAR: A 16-year-old boy died after receiving an electric shock in the Malikpora area of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Friday, officials said.
The deceased has been identified as Danish Bashir Lone, a resident of Kenyal Tarathpora.
Officials said the teenager died after suffering an electric shock under circumstances that are currently under investigation. He was immediately taken for medical treatment but was declared brought dead on arrival.
Meanwhile, MLA Handwara Sajad Lone expressed condolences in a social media post, describing the incident as a tragic loss and extending sympathies to the bereaved family.
