Employees Lock SDA Office For Want Of Salaries

KL Report

Sonamarag

Scores of daily wagers working in Sonamarg Development Authority (SDA) amid protests locked the office of SDA on Saturday. The employees alleged that from last 15 months they are without salaries.

“From past one and a half year SDA has not paid a single penny to us and now we were hoping that on this Eid we would be paid. All our hopes were dashed when Officials told us that government is lacking funds,” one of the employees told CNS.

The agitated employees amid anti-government slogans locked the office of SDA and did not allow anyone to enter the office. They warned if their salaries would not be released they would come on roads along with their families and would hamper the functioning of SDA.
