Employees of the Urban local bodies of Kashmir on Saturday held a protest demonstration outside press enclave Srinagar seeking regularization.
Scores of the protestors assembled outside press colony shouting slogans demanding justice.
The protestors while protesting demanded the regularization of daily wagers working under Urban Local Bodies and release of the pending wages.
“We are working in the corporation for the last 20 years on meagre wages. We have been requesting for regularization but the government has not paid any heed so far,” said a protestor.
“Despite working round the clock our services were never acknowledged by the government,” said another protestor.
The employees also said that if their genuine are not addressed soon they will hit the streets again to protest for their demands.
