Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) President, Saifuddin Soz has said the congress party is committed to its assurance of providing honorarium and insurance cover to more than 33000 panchs and sarpanchs of the state.
While addressing a gathering of panchs, sarpanchs and party workers at Rakhi Brah Shangas in Islamabad district, Prof. Soz exhorted the gathering that they should individually and collectively become an effective instrument for promotion of congress Party and also serve the people at large.
He assured the gathering that Congress party was steadfast on its assurance to the Sarpanchs and Panchs of the state that it will secure Honrarium and Insurance Cover for them (Sarpanchs & Panchs).
Prof Soz said that the Congress Party’s basic commitment was that Panchayati Raj Institutions have to be empowered.
“So that democracy is further strengthened at the grass roots level and the common people participates in the developmental process”.
He further stated that the Coalition would follow this line of policy at all the levels in the system.
