Empyrean Skyview Projects Wins Pathfinder Award for Adventure Innovation

The convention, themed ‘Indian Adventure Travel: Exploring New Frontiers,’ took place at Praveg Tent City, Narmada, near the Statue of Unity, in collaboration with Gujarat Tourism.

The accolade recognises Empyrean Skyview Projects’ exceptional efforts in establishing India as a global hub for adventure tourism. The company’s flagship project, Skyview by Empyrean, located in Sanget-Patnitop, Jammu & Kashmir, sprawls across 22 acres, seamlessly blending premium hospitality, adventure, nature, and luxury.

The standout feature of the property is India’s highest gondola, the Skyview Gondola, also known as the green gondola, significantly reducing travel time between Sanget valley and Patnitop to just 10 minutes. The property offers a diverse range of adventure activities, including a 162-metre magic carpet ride to the top, a 238-metre all-season tubing sledge, Asia’s longest 580-metre zig-zag zip-line, mountain biking, hiking trails, birding, camping, archery, and ATVs.

Empyrean Skyview Projects collaborated with industry leaders such as the POMA Group, MND Group, ERIC, and Sage Geotech for the planning, development, and construction of the Skyview by Empyrean project.

Upon receiving the award on December 17, 2023, Mr. Upen Anand, General Manager of Skyview by Empyrean, expressed gratitude for the recognition. ATOAI acknowledged Empyrean Skyview Projects’ dedication, innovation, and consistent excellence, citing the award as a testament to the company’s commitment to excellence in the adventure tourism sector.

Syed Junaid Altaf, Group Executive Director of FIL Industries Private Limited, commented, “We are delighted and honoured to receive this prestigious award from ATOAI. Right from the start, we have stayed true to our commitment to building a sustainable ecosystem around our projects that factor in the local communities, the environment and the economy.”

Empyrean Skyview Projects is also in the process of constructing the Dehradun-Mussoorie ropeway, set to be completed by September 2026. This ropeway, built on Mono-cable Detachable Gondola Technology, will be India’s longest passenger aerial mono-cable ropeway, connecting the twin cities in just 20 minutes.

Skyview By Empyrean holds certification from the Responsible Tourism Society of India (RTSOI) and adheres to the parameters of Sustainable & Responsible Tourism set by the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India. These standards encompass sustainability management, socio-economic, cultural, and environmental sustainability.

ATOAI, founded in 1994, serves as the national representative body of Indian Adventure Tour Operators. The convention, attended by government dignitaries, influential travel conglomerates, and visionary leaders in the travel and tourism industry, aims to establish India as the epicentre of global adventure tourism while bridging the gap between grassroots operators and adventure tourism firms.
