SRINAGAR: A quick gun battle in south Kashmir village led to the killing of a militant.
Sources said the operation is over but it is yet to be officially confirmed.
Details revealed that a posse of soldiers was attacked in Arwani village. At least one Rashtriya Rifles soldier, identified as Shareefuddin was injured in the attack. It quickly led to the retaliation in which one militant was reported killed.
A police official said the operation is still going on as the searches are still in progress. The police have not issued a statement about the operation so far.
