An encounter broke out between militants and security forces in the Khosh Mohalla of Hajin. The area falls in Bandipore district, reports said.
Unconfirmed reports said that grenade was lobbed on security forces by the militants and exchange of gunfire has taken place.
Reports not immediately confirmed by independent sources claim a group of militants are trapped inside the mohalla. It was not immediately known if the security forces were operating on basis of specific intelligence or it was just a random raid. Further details are awaited
