Father of Sundeep K Nayak, IAS (Principal Secretary to J&K Government for, Relief & Rehabilitation) passed away on Wednesday while in air. He was travelling from Bhubaneswar to Delhi for treatment, informed sources said.
Hari Nayak, breathed his last when the aircraft was landing at Delhi airport. Nayak Sr was an Orrisa Administrative services officer who was also inducted into IAS. He is survived by son Sundeep and two daughters. His body was flown to Bubhneshwar for last rites Thursday morning.
Mrs Hari Nayak ‘s wife Prof Phulara Nayak had already passed away in April 2010. A retired professor of philosophy of Bubhaneshwar Mrs Nayak had translated a number of Kashmiri folk tales into Oriya. She had translated the tales during her stay in Kashmir where his son Sundeep K Nayak was posted as an IAS officer
