SRINAGAR: A Gunfight broke out between militants and security forces in the Behrote Budhal area of the Rajouri district on Friday afternoon, officials said.
Quoting a top police officer, the news agency Kashmir Scroll reported that a joint team of Police and Army launched a cordon and search operation in Behrote Budhal. “As the joint team of forces approached towards the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon the forces, triggering off a gunfight.”
Meanwhile a top police officer also confirmed about exchange of firing between militants and security forces.
