Encounter between forces and suspected militants broke out in Bumdora village here in south Kashmir’s Islamabad district.

Reports reaching here said that Army’s 19 RR, SOG of J&K police and Special force from Cargo have launched search operation in the village, working on a specific input.

A police official said that bullets were showered on the search party and the encounter broke out.

Unconfirmed reports claim that one local militant has died while one police man has sustained injury.

The operation is still going on, details emerging.

  2. @ Younismazafer… Can you please enlighten me about the history of Anantnag? Well for your information I will write here the meaning of ANANTNAG. Anant =Numberless and Nag= Springs. A place where there were numberless springs. Name of every town in Kashmir is based on its some uniqueness. If that uniqueness is destroyed it is loss to the uniqueness of whole Kashmir .
