SRINAGAR: A gunfight broke out between militants and security forces in the Adigam area of Kulgam, Jammu and Kashmir.
As per a senior police official, a joint operation was initiated by the Police and Army, conducting a cordon and search operation in Adigam, Kulgam.
“As the combined forces approached the suspected location, terrorists in hiding opened fire, leading to an intense gunfight,” he said.
Kashmir Zone Police also took to X and said, “Encounter has started at Hadigam area of Kulgam district. Kulgam Police, Army and CRPF are on the job. Further details shall follow.”
