SRINAGAR
An encounter between suspected militants and forces has started in Shempora, Qazigund Monday morning resulting in the panic in the area. Though the encounter is going on very close to the Srinagar-Jammu highway however, it has not been closed for traffic.
Police sources told Kashmir Life that its personnel along with army cordoned off Shempora, Qazigund after information about the presence of militants.
They said that early Monday when the forces started searching for the militants they started firing resulting in a full-fledged encounter which was going on when the reports last came in.
