Srinagar
A gunfight has erupted between militants and forces in Lam area of Tral in southern part of Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
Reports said that SOG Awantipora and 42 RR of army cordoned off the Lam forest area of Tral after inputs about the presence of militants.
“As the forces approached the suspected spot, the hiding militants opened fire, triggering off an encounter,” said an official.
