SRINAGAR: Noted civil engineer Mir Ghulam Rasool a resident of Pampore passed away on Monday late evening.
Mir was now living at chinar colony Baghat Srinagar.
His funeral was held at lawn of Jamia Masjid Barzulla and was laid to rest at his ancestral graveyard at Pampore.
His son Mohammad Ashraf Mir is an entrepreneur and social worker while his other son Aijaz A Mir is a professor at National Institute of Technology Srinagar.
Prof Aijaz is also a founding member and Director of two Philanthropic organizations viz Kashmir Education Initiative and Chinar Kashmir.
People from different walks of life like traders, educationists and civil society have expressed their sympathies with the family and highlights the role of late Mir and his family in contributing towards education and social services.
