The spokesman said Er Rasheed visited families of Liyakat Ali and Mushtaq Ahmad and expressed solidarity with the families. Speaking on the occasion Rasheed said that if security agencies and the state government had shown desired will then, yesterday’s incident might not have occurred.

The spokesman quoted the Rasheed saying “pain of the family whose two members are dead, one is battling for life at SKIMS and another one is missing in Odisha cannot be measured. The state government didn’t show any interest in persuading Odisha police to trace out the missing MBBS student.”
