ER Rasheed loses party member in Hamray Pattan road accident

Despite rains, thousands joined funeral of Ashiq Hussain War, son of Sonawallah war,  one of the founder members of AIP who lost his life during a road accident in Hamray Pattan area of district Baramulla on Wednesday evening.

Two persons injured during an accident were identified as Aashiq Ahmed War son of Sanawallah War and Azad Ahmed Pir son of Mohammad Amin Peer both residents of Nowgam Handwara.

The spokesman said emotional scenes were witnessed in the entire area when the dead bodies reached to their native places. Religious scholars and other luminaries spoke on the occasion and paid rich tributes to both of them. “Ashiq Hussain was a backbone of our party and we appreciate his social and political commitment,” the spokesman said.

Rasheed said that contribution of Aashiq Hussain in the upliftment of downtrodden people of Langate, his commitment towards political aspirations of Kashmiris and sincerity through peaceful struggle can never be forgotten.

Rasheed also expressed solidarity with the bereaved families and said that all AIP cadres stand with the family of Ashiq Hussain in the hour of tragedy.
