SRINAGAR

AIP head and MLA Langate Er Rashid Monday visited Mir Bazar and Botengo District Islamabad to offer solidarity with the families of Showkat Ahmad, Zahid Ahmad and Sayaar Ahmad, who were attacked and injured by some goons in Udhampur.

Rashid offered solidarity and offered to bear all expenses required for their treatment.

Notably, state government has already told the state legislature that it shall meet all medical expenditures of the victims.

Rashid on the occasion said, “the true face of RSS sponsored Mufti led State administration got exposed when DC Udhampur denied any attack on Sayaar Ahmad of Mir-Bazar and DC Islamabad or SSP Islamabad didn’t even bothered to offer a visit to the family of two victims of Botengo. It is ironic that while the burnt clothes of Sayaar Ahmad and damaged truck are ample proof to prove what would have happen to Sayaar, the victim is himself battling for life in SMHS hospital”.

Rashid added, “government should know how could Showkat Ahmad and Zahid Ahmad get treatment within a limit of Rs10, 000 and added that it is just an eye wash to mislead the people as the victims being in very critical condition will need a huge amount for the treatment.”

He alleged that State administration quite apparently seems “afraid from even offering condolences with the families and demanded stern action against DC Udhampur for his irresponsible and insulting remarks by denying any attack of Sayaar Ahmad of Mir Bazar”.

He was accompanied by party leader Tanveer Ahmad Khan and others.

Meanwhile AIP today carried a strong protest rally at Handwara, which was attended by large number of people hailing from different walks of life. The rally was taken against the goons of Jammu province and to express solidarity with Udhampur victims and Muslims of Jammu region, an AIP statement said Sunday evening.
