Expressing serious concern over the recent statement of Omar Abdullah in which he advocated the exploration of other options in dealing with the cease fire violations with Pakistan, President Awami Ittihaad Party (AIP) Engineer Rashid said that he (Omar) is lashing at Pakistan the way his father used to advocate the ‘bombing PAK’.
In a statement the Legislator from North Kashmir’s Langate, Engineer Rashid also castigated state congress chief’s recent statement that ‘Kashmir is India’s integral part.’ Rashid said that he (Soz) is trying to become more ‘loyal than king’.
“Unfortunately Chief Minister has lashed out at Pakistan in the same manner, the way his father Dr Farooq Abdullah had been advocating bombing on Pak Administrated Kashmir in the past,” said Rashid while addressing people at North Kashmir’s Sopore area.
He further stated that Omar Abdullah should remember that it is JK dispute which is the mother cause of all tensions including one at the LoC. “One would have definitely welcomed Chief Minister and found some sincerity in his argument where he pretends to show concern over the safety of people of the state living near LoC, if he would have been able to compel or motivate New Delhi to move even an inch towards resolution of JK dispute. If he and his predecessors have failed to resolve the political dispute, not been able to stop human rights violations at the hands of government forces and have not been even able to remove the draconian laws like AFSPA, why should he abuse Pakistan without a logic,” reads the statement.
Rashid further stated in a statement that though Omar Abdullah and other MLAs played a joke of his quires regarding Keran encounter in the recently concluded state assembly session but now even the Prime Minister of India seems to be realizing about the ground realities vis-à-vis Keran encounter and as such Omar Abdullah should have first tried to find the facts before abusing Pakistan. “Let him remind that war is no solutions to the problems and he should behave in a responsible and mature manner.”
Er Rashid also criticized Saifudin Soz for saying that those who talk of JK dispute are doing politics of exploitation. He said. “Nobody on earth including Soz can deny or distort historic facts and just to please New Delhi somebody’s irresponsible remarks cannot make J and K India’s integral part or Pakistan’s jugular vein. Let us remind Soz that his entry into politics and his election to the Lok Sabha was purely vote for his restoration of autonomy which he and his then political Godfather Farooq Abdullah has put forward as a solution to Kashmir dispute. If talking about JK dispute is politics of exploitation then Soz must confess that he is one among the key exploiters who have first achieved a position in the name of resolution of Kashmir dispute and is now trying to exploit New Delhi by lying and distorting historic facts and betraying from his previous ideology.”
Rashid further mentioned that Kashmiris have never even thought for a second that Congress can be an option for them as they are fully aware about the facts that Congress is the key conspirator to the all miseries related to Jammu and Kashmir dispute.”
