Ending every speculation, Awami Ittehad Party (AIP) chief, Er Rashid Saturday announced its three candidates for the upcoming parliamentary elections for the three valley based seats.

Engineer Rashid himself will fight from Baramullah, against PDPs Muzaffar Hussain Baig and NCs Sharief-ul-din Shariq.

Party’s Advocate Mujeeb-ul-Rehman will fight from Islamabad against Mehbooba Mufti and Mehboob Baig while as Rashid Rahil will be AIPs candidate from Srinagar against NCs Dr Farooq and PDPs Tariq Hamid Qara.

Er Rashid was speaking to reporters during a press conference, at its party headquarters at Rajbagh.

Terming the day as “Historical” he said, “I am appealing to the common people to give their valuable votes to the candidates of our party, as it can change the destiny of Kashmiris.”

Rashid while pushing all the speculations on the upcoming Lok Sabha elections to the dust said, “After the proper deliberations with the people of the valley, we have come to the conclusion that we should contest the election.”

Terming that his candidates will act as a bridge between the people of valley and rest of India, Rashid said, “We will show India the ground realities of Kashmir.”

Pertinently, Rashid Rahil, the AIP candidate against Dr Farooq and Tariq Hamid Qara, is the owner of an Urdu daily. Hailing from Ganderbal, Rahil, has very recently joined active politics.
