Essential Services Functioning Smoothly in Poonch, Says District Administration

   

SRINAGAR: The District Administration of Poonch on Monday assured residents that all essential services, including healthcare, supplies, and utilities, are functioning without disruption and that there is no shortage of essential commodities across the region.

In a statement, the administration confirmed that hospitals throughout the district are fully operational with adequate stocks of essential medicines and drugs. “Ambulance services are readily available to provide timely medical support,” authorities said, adding that banking services are running smoothly and all ATMs are sufficiently stocked with cash.

Officials reported that there is stable availability of all essential commodities, including food grains, petrol, diesel, and LPG. “The supply chain is intact, and no shortages have been reported from any part of the district,” they said.

The Power and Water Supply departments have successfully restored all major supply lines, with regular electricity and clean drinking water now being provided to residents. “Previously affected areas have witnessed prompt restoration of services,” the administration added.

Deputy Commissioner Poonch, Vikas Kundal, reassured the public of the administration’s continued commitment to their welfare. “All departments are working in close coordination to ensure uninterrupted support and assistance,” he stated.

Meanwhile, Revenue authorities have commenced the assessment of damages in areas affected by recent cross-border shelling. Based on these reports, the administration has promised appropriate relief measures to support the impacted families.
