Former Member Legislative Council and senior Congress leader, Farida Mir, died Sunday morning. She was 60.
Reports said that the deceased suffered heart attack in New delhi following which she breathed her last.
MLC Congress Gh Nabi Monga said that the deceased Congress leader had remained Congress Mahela president of state Congress unit and she hailed from Poonch.
Offering condolences to the bereaved family, JKPCC state president GA Mir termed Farida Mir a veteran party leader, who has contributed a lot towards strengthening the Congress Party. “She was a dedicated and honest leader. Due to his passing away, Congress Party has lost a sincere and dedicated leader,” a party statement quoted him as having said.
