Former congress man and ex –MLA Gurez Faqir Mohammad Khan Friday joined the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
Khan, who was elected to the State Legislative Assembly from Gurez Assembly constituency in 1996, had earlier resigned from the basic membership of the Congress party. He narrowly lost the 2014 elections by a margin of 141 votes.
After joining the party, Khan according to spokesman praised Mufti Mohammad Sayeed for his people-friendly policies and reaffirmed his resolve to work for strengthening the party at the grassroots’ level.
