The Indian and Pakistani forces have again exchanged fire on five check posts along the LoC in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir.

As per a defense spokesperson SN Acharya, “Pakistan Army troops opened small and medium weaponry firing and lobbed rocket-propelled grenades in Mendhar sub-sector of Poonch district at around 1230 hours.”

The exchange of fire took place at Palli, 485, 485A, Puna and Noyal.

There have been over 90 ceasefire violations so far this year. Six Indian personnels were killed and 13 people injured in ceasefire violations and firing in forward posts and civilian areas and on patrol parties along the border in over a month.
