SRINAGAR: Pakistan posts resorted to unprovoked firing across the Line of Control during the night of April 27–28, officials said.
An Indian Army official said that Pakistan Army posts initiated small arms fire in areas opposite Kupwara and Poonch districts. “Indian troops responded swiftly and effectively to the provocation, ensuring the safety of forward locations and preventing any escalation.”
The situation along the LoC is under close observation. So far, no reports of casualties or significant damage have been received. Further details are awaited. (JKNS)
