A day long exhibition cum awareness camp was organized in the frontier town Uri of Baramulla district.
Deputy Commissioner Baramulla Dr Nasir Ahmad Naqash as the chief guest. Camp was organized by GIAN and National Innovation unit of University of Kashmir in collaboration with Sub Divisional Magistrate Uri which marked the overwhelming response of young and enthusiastic innovators arrived from different areas of the valley, said spokesman in a statement.
Sub divisional Magistrate Uri Dr D Sagar , Tehsildar uri Mohammad Aslam various others besides a huge gathering of people were present on the occasion.
The spokesman said it is worth here to mention that the camp aimed at educating young innovators who have been felicitated at State and National levels, with respect to their innovations besides providing them proper counseling and platform so that they can explore more efficiently into their respective fields.
He said that speaking on the occasion, the DC appreciated the innovators for their endeavors and said that the need of the hour is to provide them a proper platform so that their talent is explored. He said that this will enable them to earn their sustainable livelihood besides offering employment avenues for other sections of the society.
While assuring every possible support from district administration, the DC said that there is no dearth of talent in the district and the administration is committed to provide educational and technical assistance to these innovators so that they can bring laurels for the state as well as for the country.
Earlier the DC inspected the stalls that were installed displaying various equipment’s and tools invented by these innovators.
