As per a police spokesperson expired medicines worth more than Rs 80, 000 were seized by Baramulla police on Saturday.

The police said that they received a complaint from a person namely Mehraj-ud-Din Khanday son of Habibullah Khanday resident of Zangam against the medical store owner M/S Qadri Medicate owned by Mohammad Aslam Qadri  son of Ghulam Mohammad Qadri resident of Poshwani Pattan regarding the sale and supply of expired medicines to patients.

Acting on the complaint a team constituted under the supervision of SDPO Pattan, headed by SHO Police Station Pattan Inspector Mehboob Banday police party raided various medical stores at Pattan and seized expired medicines worth more than Rs.80000/-

Meanwhile a case, FIR No.161/2013 has been registered by Police Station Pattan and investigation has been started in this regard.
