SRINAGAR: Syed Faiz Naqshbandi’s mother has passed away at her Brain Nishat residence, a spokesman of the Mirwaiz led Hurriyat said. Faiz is Hurriyat’s PaK convenor since February 2017.

“Mirwaiz who is still under house arrest has condoled the death ,” a spokesman said. “She died at her residence early Sunday.”
Miarwaiz said Faiz is currently in Geneva participating in the 34th meeting of UNHRC. He said his workers had gone to pay condolences to the family.
Faiz was nominated by Mirwaiz Umar Farooq as Convener APHC for PaK in February 2017. This followed the expiry of the tenure of Mir Tahir Masood. Faiz has been operating from PaK for a long time now.
