Students of All J&K Pasmanda Tabka Development Welfare Society launched a protest march Thursday here at press colony Srinagar alleging that the institution had “cheated” them.

The students carried placards and shouted slogans against the concerned authorities.

Students alleged that they had been enrolled for 18-month course of Female Multi-Purpose Health Worker (FMPHW) but now the collage issued them degrees of Multi-Care Health (MCH).

“We came here to be trained as FMPHW but they are giving us MCH degrees that won’t help us get employment anywhere,” said one of the protesters.

The protestors threatened to intensity the agitation if the authorities did not issue them “valid” degrees.

“This degree is fake,” said another protester. “This is injustice to us.”
