The dead body of the youth killed in Pulwama army firing has reached to his home at Nowpora Payeen, in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Friday evening.
The deceased youth identified as Vikas Ahmad Rather, son of Ghulam Qadir Rather and was hit by a bullet in chest right side
Reports said that scores of men and women wept bitterly as the body of Vikas reached his native village in Nowpora Payeen.
Earlier, an official said that a patrolling party of 55 RR was pelted by youth at Nowpora Payeen in Pulwama district. Army retaliated by firing few rounds which resulted in the death of a one person and another sustained injuries.
The injured girl was identified as Ruqaya Jan, daughter of Mohidin. Ruqaya was hit by a bullet in her left leg and is being treated at a district hospital in Pulwama.
