Condemn the killing of Shri M L Bindroo who chose to stay back in Kashmir even during peak insurgency. Such acts of violence have no place in our society. May his family find the strength to deal with this loss.

Bindroos’ were a family in Kashmir’s pharmacy sector that had the reputation of selling quality medicines and having the entire basket in the inventory. The family did not leave Kashmir during the early 1990s. Off late, the family had expanded the shop and converting part of it into a multi-story consultation centre where many doctors were available for most of the afternoon. Being in a key sector for a long time, people who knew slain Bindroo used social media to highlight his good deeds while handling his clientele.
Bindroo killing was widely condemned. NC, PDP, CPI(M) and Peoples’ Conference condemned the killing. “Late Bindroo stayed here in trying and difficult times and continued his service to the locals despite odds. It was a household name in Kashmir. His unfortunate death has sent shock waves. No words to condemn such a heinous and shameful act. This is indeed an irreparable loss for the whole society,” CPIM’s Yousuf Tarigami said.
Peoples Conference chief Sajad Lone said the fatal attack is outrageous and unacceptable. “I knew the gentleman personally. He never left the Valley. And terrorists made him pay for that. May he live in peace,” Lone said.
