SRINAGAR: Two persons, including a nine-month-old baby girl, were killed after a Sumo vehicle met with an accident at Semari in the Karnah area of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Monday, officials said.
Officials said that the deceased were identified as 32-year-old Mohd Idrees, son of Kaser Din, and his nine-month-old daughter, Hamza.
Preliminary reports suggest that the death toll may rise as the rescue operation is still underway. Further details about the accident are awaited.
