SRINAGAR: The industrial community across Kashmir is mourning the sudden loss of prominent entrepreneur and leader Nazir Ahmad Magrey of Gousia Printers, Baghi Ali Mardan Khan.
Magrey breathed his last on Sunday while travelling back from Chandigarh, where he had gone for business.
Condoling his demise, the Federation of Chambers of Industries Kashmir (FCIK) remembered Magrey as a technically sound entrepreneur whose suggestions led to industrial policy corrections from time to time. Magrey served on the Executive Council of FCIK for a long time. While conveying sympathies and condolences to the bereaved family, the FCIK President prayed for his eternal peace.
The Kashmir Small Scale Industrial Association (KSSIA) also conveyed condolences over the demise of its past Vice President, Nazir Ahmad Magrey.
In a condolence meeting, the President and other members of KSSIA paid tributes to the deceased leader and remembered his services towards the development of industrial units in general and those associated with KSSIA in particular.
Earlier, a large number of Association leaders, including President Syed Fazal Illahi, Shakeel Qalander, Ghulam Mohiuddin, Syed Haamid Chashoo, Omar Nazim, Manzoor Ahmad Khan, Sahil Zargar, and others, participated in the funeral prayers of the deceased held after midnight at 2:00 AM. A delegation of KSSIA also visited the residence of the deceased to express personal condolences to the bereaved family.
Condolences are also pouring in from industrial leaders across Kashmir Valley, with many visiting the residence of the deceased to convey their sympathies.
