As administration failed to restore few damaged roads prestigious protection works in Langate,
Independent legislator Er Rasheed Sunday swung into action and in a unique move restored Gund Kamal, Dogar roads and other protection works at Jahama Road by engaging bulldozers and other machinery with the support of Joint Effort Trust (JET).
In a statement issued today, Rasheed accused government machinery of taking people for granted and enjoying their sufferings. “My consecutive requests to district administration and concerned departments yielded nothing except adding to the miseries of common masses. However, people can’t be left at the mercy of defunct and cruel bureaucracy.”
“As representative of people of Langate, I am duty bound to minimize the sufferings as much as possible,” Rasheed said.
He appealed governor to take stern action against all the officers involved, who have been treating themselves above accountability and misleading their top brasses by false updates.
