Police have shifted eleven families to safer places in Ganderbal who were affected by incessant rains.

“A retaining wall at village Rangil in the jurisdiction of Police Post Nagbal collapsed which damaged two nearby residential houses of Abdul Qadir and Abdul Hamid Mir. Both the families were shifted to safer places,” police said in a statement issued Sunday evening.

Meanwhile, due to major landslide at Wanyarm Wangth residential houses of Rehman Shah Paktoon, Mohammad Ayoub Bhat, Lateef Bhat, Abdul Satar Paswal and Mohammad Qasim Paswal got damaged.

Police have also evacuated nine families from this place to safer locations.

Meanwhile, a girl was injured in a road accident in Nowgam area of Islamabad.

A Wagon-R car bearing registration number JK03C-5556 driven by an unknown driver hit a girl Madiha Bilal resident of Nowgam at Nowgam, resulting in injuries to her.

The injured girl was shifted to District Hospital Islamabad for treatment.

The police statement further said that a girl (name withheld) resident of Yaripora, Kulgam consumed some poisonous substance at her home.

She was shifted to District Hospital Kulgam for treatment.
