Intense protests erupted on Monday in University of Kashmir Hazratbal campus against the fee hike by the varsity authorities.
Reports reaching here said that students took out a march through the lawns of the university and amid slogans against the varsity authorities.
“It is nothing but the varsity officials are following the crony capitalism,” a student said, “recently university made 250 percent increase in the examination fee of an affiliated college which is nothing but making it hard for poor students to continue studies.”
The students are holding a sit-in protest in front of the Humanities Block demanding roll back of the fee hike order.
