SRINAGAR: The Committee for Fixation and Regulation of Fee of Private Schools (FFRC) has directed all private schools to ensure that fee receipts clearly and separately reflect the details of amounts charged under different heads, including Tuition Fee, Annual Fee, Transport Fee, and any other approved charge.
Circular issued by FFRC reads, the receipts must separately reflect charges under tuition fee, annual fee, transport fee, and any other charge duly approved or allowed under rules. The directive comes after it was observed that several private schools were issuing receipts without clearly mentioning the breakup of collected amounts.
The FFRC has cautioned that any violation will be treated as a contravention of the JK School Education Act, 2002, and the JK Private Schools (Fee Regulation) Rules, 2022. Defaulters will face strict action as warranted under law, the circular states.
